PhotoFit was built out of frustration. Every government exam portal — UPSC, JEE, SSC, RRB — demands photos in exact pixel dimensions and exact KB ranges. Most free tools online either upload your photo to a server, or can only set quality percentages (not actual KB). PhotoFit does neither. It runs entirely in your browser, hits exact KB targets, and works offline after first load.
Your photos are processed entirely inside your browser. There is no server. There is no database. There is no account. Nothing you upload is ever transmitted anywhere. PhotoFit uses the HTML5 Canvas API and WebAssembly to compress, resize, and transform photos locally. The only network call this site makes is to load the page itself (and optionally serve a Google Ad). Your photo data stays on your device, period.
